The Application Process
Any child, regardless of religious affiliation, racial origin, or ethnic background is eligible for enrollment in the LCYC.
Criteria for Acceptance of Applications
Applications for enrollment are considered in the order in which they are received and according to the priority list below. If a need arises to give priority within any eligibility category, gender balance, a child’s age, presence of siblings in the program, number of years a family’s children have attended LCYC classes and the children’s individual needs may be considered.
- Continuing students, children & grandchildren of LCYC staff members
- Siblings of children continuing in LCYC classes
- Children of members (as of date of application) of Warner Memorial Presbyterian Church
- Children of members of Warner Memorial Presbyterian Church who join the church after submitting an application
- Siblings of children formerly in LCYC classes
- Other applicants
Once a class is full, applicants are assigned places on the Wait Lists. Families on Wait Lists will be offered places in classes as they become available. Families should indicate first and second choice classes.
Registration for classes, beginning each year in September, starting on February 1, 2019. To receive first consideration for a class opening, an application must be received by the first day of registration. Spaces are still available please apply today.
In order to completely register a child, various forms must be turned into the LCYC office before the child begins school. The forms include a Student Health Inventory, Student Immunization Record, Co-oper Health Form, Internet Release, etc. Confirmations of enrollment or Wait List placement letters will be sent to families in response to applications.
